JSM Customer Portal Access Management

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding managing access rights in JSM regarding the Portal.

Currently, I have built one project with 3 organisations within it. Each organisation represents a different business segment that our company works with. They will fill out the same support questions, so I don't need to create multiple projects.

My question is, if our company has other admins in JSM, and THEY create other projects, there is a chance that the "organisations" under my project could see the other projects in the portal IF they don't change their settings properly.

Is there some way for me to control that the people under my organisation ONLY see my projects? I feel like I'm relying on others to not make a mistake. If they forget to change a setting, then it their project will be visible to everyone under my project.

What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the community!

If I understand your question correctly, you want people to see or access only specific projects on the portal, despite there being many projects.

In Jira Service Management (JSM), you can create multiple help centers, and for each help center, you can decide which projects to display and which ones to hide. So, go ahead and create a new help center, hide the unnecessary projects, and then share the link to this new help center. I am attaching some screenshots for your reference.

Piggy backing off original post, my company services 200+ credit unions. @Rishabh does that mean I will need to create 200+ help centers to segregate each credit union's tickets?

Do you know if there is a place where we can get the icons used in the illustrations for the portals, as far i know there aren't any pre-made icons/logos to use.

Hi @Benjamin Høegh , you are correct that there aren't any icons available in Jira or JSM itself except a few for Issue Types. For what you want, try downloading free images from icons8.com or search Google for other (free) icons/images you can download and use. Even though they're free, they still have restrictions on usage (like you can't use them for commercial purposes, the normal stuff). Good luck!
