URL to add a new comment in specific Jira issue

Question

Is there a custom URL that I can use to direct a user straight into the body of a new comment on a specific Jira issue, for instance "jira.mycompany.com/browse/issue-xyz".

My hope is that I can append something like "/new_comment". But I haven't stumbled across a way to do it yet.

Got it! In my case, the following format works: "http://jira.mycompany.com/secure/AddComment!default.jspa?id=n" The variable is "n" in "id=n" I was able to find this in the page source in the as the value of "rel='n'", as below: "

Issue-xyz

" So the working URL for this example would be: "http://jira.mycompany.com/secure/AddComment!default.jspa?id=12345"
