Regarding ticket GHS-7255, does the fix apply to Agile version 6.6.80? Right now it is not working.

We're running JIRA version 6.2 and Agile 6.6.80, what version should I upgrade to, and will this be a distract change for our current environment?

No the fix does not apply for 6.6.80. You will have to upgrade JIRA Agile to get the fix.
