How Do You Track Active Users for an App on the Atlassian Marketplace?

Hi Community members,

I was wondering if anyone has insights on how to track the number of active users when developing an app on the Atlassian Marketplace. Is there a specific method or tool that helps developers monitor user activity over time?

Additionally, we don’t store any data from our users, so we’re looking for a way to track this without accessing or storing any user information directly.

One of our users, who is using a traceability and hierarchy plugin, Links Explorer (https/marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211120/links-explorer-traceability-hierarchy?tab=overview&hosting=cloud), raised this question, and we’d appreciate any advice or best practices you can share.

There might be an app in Marketplace (this one works for DC but not Cloud:  App Usage for Jira ) but I did find an open req for it that you might want to upvote if you don't find what you need:  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/MP-113
