CAC Authentication and SSO for JIRA Agile

I need to get an instance of JIRA (with the JIRA Agile plugin) setup to accept CAC Authentication and SSO. By modifying JIRA's Tomcat server I was able to get the server to request CAC Authentication, but afterwards the user still has to log into JIRA with their JIRA credentials.

Is there a way to tie the CAC Authentication to JIRA or an Identity Management System that JIRA can integrate with?

Personally, I'm not aware of any plugins that allow CAC authentication. You may need to write your own authenticator to get the job done if you're comfortable with that. If not, I'm sure there are experts roaming this site who would be open to implementing such a thing
