Need to update the Excel data automatically in Confluence

Dear All ..

The following looks like near impossible with my exploring knowledge so far with

'Table from CSV, Office Excel Macro, Spreadsheet macro' etc ..

My ask is:

I have a Capacity plan in my Excel which will be updated on weekly basis .. now, there is a need for me to reflect the same in Confluence page(Table) ..

in short, every week ..

When the Excel gets updated, the same data should be Automatically updated in the Confluence Page as well ..

Initially, i thot that this is not a big ask but after quite tryouts .. it looks like near impossible (atleast for me) ..

If one of you can really help/solve on this, i can save my Excel with your name :)  .. HELP pls

For the recent "still need this" replies: the Excel macro works off a file that "must be attached to a page", so what it shows is whatever attachment is there. The weekly file living somewhere else is the actual problem.

Closest thing to check is putting the file in OneDrive or SharePoint, pasting the link into the page and picking the Embed display. That's supposed to follow the current file, though the demos I've seen were a Word doc. Not Excel.

Otherwise it's a script. Read the sheet on a schedule, build the table, push it with the REST v2 update page call (PUT /pages/{id}). Cron works, or an automation rule on the Scheduled trigger sending a web request. No apps but someone owns the code :)

Hi, I'm with CelesteCS (Math for Confluence Cloud) - being upfront: our app doesn't read an external Excel file directly, so it won't solve the "edit the Excel, Confluence follows automatically" part exactly as you're describing.

Where it might still help: if you're open to keeping the numbers in a native Confluence table instead of an attached Excel file (even just pasting the updated weekly numbers into it), our Numerical Expression Cloud macro can compute your totals/formulas over that table live - so at least the calculated parts of your report stay current automatically, without anyone re-checking a formula by hand each week. Not a complete answer to what you asked for, but might remove some of the manual work either way.
