JIRA Usage Report

Question

I would like to put a chart on my dashbaord (or other report), with level of JIRA activity (for example: number of issues commented, worked on, created or number of comments, work logs, created issues) by user over a time period (eg: last day, week, month).

What is the best/easiest way to set this up?

I have looked at it, but I didnt see anything there that gets me the report I am looking for..
