How to I control the field description on an edit screen?

What have I forgotten?

The field is named "CR Project Assign"

I have added the string "Remember ti change the QA Resource too!" to the description, as you can see.

But that new text is not shown when I edit an Issue.

I know I have made this work in the past. What have I forgotten?

Do you have multiple contexts for your custom field? In the cog icon, Configure .... you can add multiple configurations (including the Description) for different projects/issue types ...
