I always use the issue list view and click on the "summary" to view the issue details one by one.

However, when I attempt to proceed to the next issue by pressing the ▽ icon, it sometimes takes me back to the first issue on the list instead of moving to the next one. This issue doesn't occur every time, but it happens frequently.

Can someone please advise me on how to prevent this from happening?

These types of issues are hard to troubleshoot without concrete steps to reproduce. I would recommend trying to figure out exactly when it is occuring if possible. And if not when it does occur to capture a HAR file and working with your admin at your company to submit it to atlassian to review: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408828867098-Generating-a-HAR-file-for-troubleshooting
