code snippets in wiki markup

My company is currently running 3.3.3 and i am tasked with creating a document that requires code snippets.

How do you best present code in this version.

I found a macro, but it says that it doesn't export to PDF very well.

Does anyone have a good solution to this?

(I do know that there is an upgrade in the works, but no one has time to do this at the moment.)

The obvious choice is the {code} macro.

A quick test on Confluence 3.3 seems to show it working nicely in both Confluence and a PDF rendition of the page.
