Migration from QC to JIRA

Question

Hi Team,

Can you please let me know if we have any functionality in JIRA/Zephyr that allows you to Migrate all the test data that is currently on ALM into JIRA? or we have any plugin that can do this trick?

We are not looking to Sync the data between QC and JIRA, rather we want to migrate all the data from QC instance into JIRA.

Thanks,

Rakesh

Hi Rakesh,

What you can do is if the tests you have in QC have tests with steps, you will want to use the Zephyr for JIRA tests utlity importer. This is the only way to get tests into Zephyr for JIRA. What you will need to do is export the tests out of QC to an excel file. Once in excel format you can import the tests from the excel sheet into Zephyr for JIRA. You may, however, need to adjust the data in the excel sheet in order to get a successful import.

Below is a link to the Zephyr for JIRA tests utility importer. You can also download the documentation below the download:

For Jira, you would need to the csv importer and deal with its issues which have been reported on this forum many times.
