Scheduled Task Start Date

Question

Do I have the ability to create Start Dates for Scheduled Tasks?

I am trying to figure out the best way to schedule tasks for production.

I know I have the option to use the have the fields: Created, Updated, Due Date. I wouild like to schedule and assign tasks prior to their actual start date.

I would suggest a custom StartDate field with an additional status ("Not Started"), then you could use a jelly script to update the status to "Open" when the StartDate is reached.

You could even add an userpicker field to store the future assignee and leave the issue unassigned and the assign it at the StartDate.
