Drop-down list boxes

Question

Is there a way to add a drop-down list box to a page template?

Rob Woodgate · Answer

Hi Evan,

Yes you can add custom fields.  Go to the admin cog in the top right of JIRA and:

* Select Issues
* Select Customfields in the left hand side.
* Click the Add custom field button on the top right hand side

There are - amongst the other field types - 3 Select list field types you can add, with defined values for users to choose from.

can a dropdown box with preconfigured choices be added to JIRA too?  I see this link is in relation to Confluence and the company I work for only has JIRA that I'm aware of.  I'm doing a lessons learned database.

Hi Gail,

Yes, you can add dropdowns to templates.  See this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/create-a-template-724764986.html for details; multi-line text is what you're interested in.
