Share a custom transition between workflows

Question

Hi,

I have created a new custom step On Hold and its relative transition (On Hold, id: 741) in my release workflow.

I have another workflow, named defect,  that is copied from the default jira workflow, and I want to add the On Hold step to this new workflow.

I could use the same step (On Hold) but could only create a new transition (On Hold, id: 711), but I want to use my previous one (id: 741).

How do I share this transition between two workflows?

If I want to edit a transition (add post function for example), I'd like to do it once for all my workflows.

If I'll have the same transition (but not common) in few workflows, then when I want to edit the transition, I'd have to do it for each workflow...

i didn't see the point in this ( why you need same transition id? )

but you may try to do the folowing:

1) made "defect" workflow  inactive

2) download as XML both workflows

3) delete "defect" workflow

4) edit "defect" workflow in xml by copying code from "release" xml or by hand

5) upload "defect" workflow from xml

6) activate "defect" workflow
