Export a CSV file from JIRA with desired file name

Hello Jira community,

When i export a CSV file with all fileds, the name of the file is "Company name-JIRA YYY-MM-ddTHH_mm_ss-0500" by default. 

 

I would like to change it to another name, Does anyone know what are the setting to change the default name ?

In jira, the defsault fielname for exported CSV files is typically generated automatically based on the date and time of the export, along witht some additional information like the jira instance name or project name. But this feature doesnot provide an out of the box option in jira to customize the default filename for CSV exports.

Steps you can try out :

Custom Development : if none of the above options meet your requirements, you could consider developing a custom solution tailored to your specific needs. This might involve creeating a custome jir plugin or script to handle CSV exports witht hte custom filenames.

Third-Party Plugins : There are a few apps available in the atlassian MarketPlace thst offers more advances export features, Custom filename options.

Scripting : One might be able to automate the renaming process using scripting. for example, If you have access to Jira's REST API or Command Line Interface, Could write a script to download the CSV file and rename it accordingly to the desired naming convention.

Manual Renaming : After downloading the CSV file withthe default name, You can manually rename it to the name you prefer to.
