JIRA field behaviour

Question

Good day,

Please assist as we would like for JIRA to allow us to configure fields in such a way that when creating an issue, two of the following scenarios happen on a dropdown:

a) when selecting 'No', fields become greyed out, meaning there are no further options.

b) when selecting 'Yes', mandatory fields become visible for the user to populate.

Also, since adding the script, when trying to view the custom field list under Administration>>Issues, the list is cutoff(incomplete).

Please help!!!

Thank you so much for the assistance - the mentioned script on https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Displaying+a+Field+Based+on+Another+Field+Selection, managed to assist to a certain level - this only works on 'free text fields' and not 'checkbox fields'...Please advise.

Hey Rethabile, I can think of two possible methods where this can be achieved :

* Via the JIRA Behaviors plugin
* via the steps in this page that would allow us to display a field based on another field selection
