Unable to find people in Kudos search

Jamie Edmondson_hxw4w1

Sometimes I can't find the name of someone I want to give Kudos. Specifically, I know their name, the correct spelling, etc. But when I look for them in the Kudos area, I can't find them at all. Do they have to be a part of the Kudos group or something?

Hi @Jamie Edmondson ,

Yes, they do need to be a part of Kudos to show up there.

Hello @Jamie Edmondson

Yes, a community member has to sign up in the Kudos program in order for you to give them kudos.

@Jamie Edmondson you can tell whether a member is enrolled by looking at their profile page. If you see the kudos tab, they are a participant.

Hi all,

Where is the kudos option gon in the main bar of tha Atlassian community?

It's not visible for me, I have tried different browsers on different devices and it's not visible (cleared all cache on all devices, in all browsers as well)

@Marc -Devoteam- - According to this page, Kudos should be to the right on the menu bar: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/how-to-earn-badges?community-source=value-props

Hi @carolyn french

As in the example on that page yes, but this is the view I have in all browsers on 3 devices.

@Marc -Devoteam- Would you mind verifying if this behavior occurs in private tabs/windows as well?

Hi @carolyn french , I've found someone in the Leaderboard but when I type their full profile name, it doesn't come up in the search results to select. I've also typed first name only and scrolled, same with last name and their company name but no joy. I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have, thanks.

carolyn french

@Susan Waldrip what's the user? I can try to check myself. You can also go to their main user profile and give kudos from there too if all else fails (See Andy's screenshot below).

You only show up in Kudos search if you’re in the program and your profile privacy isn’t hiding you. I’d double-check that you’ve joined and your visibility is set to public.
