[Jira] submit case by email with fields value?

Dears,

By integrating jira with other system, we are trying using email to create new case in jira. but jira only support following mapping: email's subject -> jira case summary; email's body -> jira case description. is there any way to pass some other field value from email to jira case?

it makes no sense to ask submitter to update case fileds on jira system after they have submit case by mail.

You need a mail handler that can read incoming email and understand how you want to break up the mail into fields.

You could write your own, there are a couple in the marketplace which have specific uses, but the one to look at is JEMH - that is an immensely configurable incoming mail handler.
