Exctracting database content into a grid

Hi everyone, I am wondering if I can find a tutorial or any information that can help me to add a module into my Jira 5.1 plugin. Does someone can help me please? I am a newbie in JIRA and I have any idea about how to add this module. Thanks in advance, Omar.
