Installing OpsGenie plugin into VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.7

Good afternoon, 

I'm attempting to integrate the OpsGenie plugin into our vCenter VCSA, however, the instructions are not really making sense to me. 

I've downloaded the RPM and will be able to install it, my issue lies with configuring the alerts to go to OpsGenie.

The instructions on this page: Integrate Opsgenie with VMware vCenter Server Appliance | Opsgenie | Atlassian Support say to click the 'vSphere vClient' and select actions, but that doesn't really make sense to me. Is it asking about the vCenter server? Datacenter? ESXi Hosts?

Next, during Alarm configuration, as I was attempting to configure this, the only options I have are to Run a Script, not to Run a command.

I do have vROPs available to me. Any suggestions or help would be great. I haven't been able to find anything on YouTube as far as installation instructions go for this.

Hey there Keith! 

 

Referring to the VMware documentation on setting an alarm in the Vsphere Client, it looks like you will need to access the html based Vsphere client in order to create the alarm. From the html based Vsphere client, you should be able to select a vCenter Server to create the alarm for, and then select Configure>>Alarm definitions>add. During the alarm configuration, I believe you should be able to use the "Run a script" option in place of "Run a command" to input the command that uses the vcsa2opsgenie path. Hopefully this helps to provide a starting point, please let me know if you have questions here or are still unable to create the alarm.
