How to Create Auto Closed By Date Duration in JMWE Groovy Script Post Function ?

Hi Community,

I have a problem with jira tickets, which is the problem, there are lots of queue tickets that don't run because the user doesn't run the transition

Is there a solution to overcome this so that tickets are automatically closed by duration date in post function groovy script JMWE ?

example: 30 days if no one is running the transition, the ticket will be automatically closed

You can use a Scheduled Action for that. There are examples of that in the JMWE documentation.

Ooh okey david, can you provide an example script so that the ticket is automatically closed using the scheduler action ?

Well, it's not really a script. You need to create a Scheduled Action and configure the JQL search to look for issues that have been in the status before "closed" (let's say it's "Resolved") for more than 30 days. For example:

status = "Resolved" and status changed to "Resolved" before -30d

Then add a Transition Issue(s) post function to transition these issues to "Closed".
