Problem starting Trial Version of Jira in browser

Question

I downloaded a  30 days JIRA trial version yesterday, installed it on my Windows 7 laptop and all was ok when I logged in and created a project . Today when I have to tried to log in I get error message  'Cannot change ComponentManager status from NOT_STARTED to PLUGINSYSTEM_STARTED'

I have tried to delete the .jira-home.lock but get a message that the file is open in Atlassian JIRA so cannot be deleted.

Any ideas ?

Are there any other errors in the logs? Did you try restarting?

You can't delete the lock when JIRA is running.
