Good morning,

I have a structure with a defined hierarchy (Initiative, Epic, Task, Sub Task) where me ancd other colleagues work everyday.

Is it possible to create a Project Automation in order to assign to all new issues created directly into the structure a specific label?

For example: when I create a new Epic directly into the structure, this has to have a label called "ABC123".

Can you help me?

yes, it sounds like you said, but I don't want to specify the epic, because I don't know in advance what kind of Epic will be created, I only know that will be created in that structure.

Any suggestions?

Try to explain better:

- in this structure all the issues have the same labels

- when I created a new Issues (any types) I would like that the issues created have the same labels referred to that structure

- I don't know in advance the type of issue or the content of the issue created

Hello @Amedeo

It is possible to set a specific label to a newly added issue to a structure the following way:

Create a structure and add some issues that contain the label you need(you just need one issue for this solution to work).
Add the Group by Label generator.
To create a new issue, open the structure, put the focus on any issue in the right Label-based group and click Create. This will do two things: it will add the new issue in the structure under the focused one and the Group generator will also set the corresponding label to it.

There is no other functionality in Structure that can automatically set a label on a creation of an issue. Alternatively, there are Effectors which allow to write values to Jira fields, but this feature can be used for setting labels after an issue is already in the structure, and this process is not automatic and it would depend on a user for launching it.
