SourceTree Splash screen only

Question

I know there are other threads regarding this issue but not of them fit my problem or suggest a solution.

Last night my PC restrated after a windows update. Today, SourceTree will not start. Instead, it displays the splashscreen for a few seconds then nothing.

My PC does not hang, SourceTree is not running in Task Manager, it just fails to launch.

Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

SourceTree Version 3.4.9.0

Any pointers would be much appreciated

A further update to this issue.

After another windows update and a forced restart, the problem was back!

I found 2 folders like...

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree.exe_Url_RandomGuid

Deleted them both and all is well.

As I launched Sourcetree again a new folder with the same naming pattern appeared which won't cause any problems until the next time something happens that creates a 2nd folder with a name like SourceTree.exe_Url_RandomGuid

I did not have a file called SourceTree.exe_Url_RandomGuid but instead just cut/moved the 3 other folders named something like SourceTree.exe_Url_sodfjsodifygodijfldjldskj  somewhere else, restarted Sourcetree, and it worked.
