Warning "com.valens.CommitArchiveService Cannot save history" in logs

Yann Larhantec

Hi everyone,

We got thousands of these warning in bitbucket datacenter 7.21.4 logs :

WARN [AtlassianEvent::thread-3] username *UM7UXWx639x37395779x5 123.123.123.123 "POST /scm/~username/blablabla.git/git-receive-pack HTTP/1.1" com.valens.CommitArchiveService Cannot save history

I can't find anything on this warning.

What does it mean ?

How to correct it ?

Thx

Yann

A quick search reveals the originating class is part of this plugin:

https://github.com/tied/stash-projectreport-plugin/blob/master/src/main/java/com/valens/CommitArchiveService.java

Which is very likely to be this app:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215256/project-recent-commits-for-bitbucket?hosting=server&tab=overview

If I were you, I'd disable this app and verify if the errors disappear. If they do, then this app is the culprit, contact the developer!
