Auto populate Custom Field linked to Insight

Hi all.

I've been searching around and I can't find what I am looking for. Basically, I would like to have the custom field that is linked to an insight object auto-populated based on the reporter.

Reporter = Michael Gaskin
Insight Custom Field Object in Jira would then be auto-populated with Michael Gaskin.

I've looked at automation and some post functions, but I think I'm missing something.

I tried this on my test instance and it worked like a charm. This was my rule:
