Error: Could not find or load main class com.atlassian.bitbucket.internal.launcher.BitbucketServerLa

Question

I downloaded the bitbucket archive from atlassian-bitbucket-8.8.2.zip . I exploded it and when I try to run start-bitbucket.sh from the bin folder I get the error

Error: Could not find or load main class com.atlassian.bitbucket.internal.launcher.BitbucketServerLauncher

I see that the classpath is pointing to C:\Users
itin\atlassian-bitbucket-8.8.2\atlassian-bitbucket-8.8.2\app which contains the class file

Error: Could not find or load main class com.atlassian.bitbucket.internal.launcher.BitbucketServerLauncher.class

but java is not able to find it.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Nitin,

Bitbucket Server version 8 is not supported on Windows, which is why this doesn't work.
