What's the best PlantUML Diagram (Data Center) add-on?

Can someone provide a comparison between Markdown Macro, HTML, PlantUML, LaTeX, Diagrams, Open API for Confluence & the PlantUML Diagram for Confluence add-on's?  These add-ons are both staff-picks.

Also, can anyone provide any dependencies?  We know that GraphViz for Confluence is required for PlantUML Diagrams for Confluence.

I don't have personal preferences or biases, but I can provide you with some information on the best PlantUML Diagram add-ons for Confluence and their differences.

1. PlantUML Diagram for Confluence: This is a popular add-on for creating various types of diagrams, including UML diagrams, flowcharts, network diagrams, and more. It offers a user-friendly interface with real-time preview and supports multiple export formats.

2. Gliffy Diagrams for Confluence: This add-on provides a wide range of diagram types, including UML diagrams, flowcharts, org charts, and more. It offers an intuitive drag-and-drop interface and integration with JIRA for project management.

The PlantUML Diagram for Confluence add-on is also available for Data Center environments.

Markdown Macro, HTML, PlantUML, LaTeX, Diagrams, Open API for Confluence, and the PlantUML Diagram for Confluence add-ons serve different purposes. Markdown Macro and HTML are markup languages for creating formatted text, while LaTeX is a markup language primarily used for scientific documents. Diagrams and PlantUML are tools for creating diagrams, with PlantUML offering more advanced features and more diagram types. Open API for Confluence is an add-on for integrating Confluence with other systems.

The PlantUML Diagram for Confluence add-on requires a separate tool called Graphviz for rendering diagrams.

Graphviz is a graph visualization software that can be downloaded and installed separately from the PlantUML Diagram for Confluence add-on. The add-on uses Graphviz to generate image files from the PlantUML diagrams created in Confluence. Once Graphviz is installed on the same server as Confluence, the PlantUML Diagram add-on can be configured to use it for diagram rendering.
