Limit Confluence CQL return results

Using CQL i want to restrict the results returned by a query to a limit of say 25 or 50. How do i specify that limit in the CQL ?

(Label = "sample-issue" OR Title ~ "sample-issue~") AND (type IN (space, page, blogpost)) Lastmodified > now("-24M")

are you referring to a Rest API call or to a search using confluence top navigation bar?
