Issue accessing the people section for a project

Question

I am getting the following message when trying to access the people/roles that are a part of a project. I am running 5.0.5. In probably a related issue when I created the new project the individual I specified as the Project Lead could not see the project until I went in to his roles and explicitly made him an administrator even though I did that at the time of the project creation.

The JIRA server could not be contacted. This may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down.

This was answered by another individual - forget the bug id but was related to Internet Explorer I believe.
