How can I add my own icon to the project I just created?

Question

Can I upload my own icon to be used with a Jira team-managed project?

Unfortunately, I can't find anything that already exists that is appropriate for my project in Project Settings>Change Icon, so I click the ellipsis for more alternatives. Although I'm not sure if it's feasible, I would like to upload my own icon.

Or do I have to choose only one of the alternatives that Jira Cloud currently offers?

As a Jira admin, all I see are shifting icons for priority; I don't see anything about projects. I've looked online, but the only guidance I can find is around priority.

Any help is appreciated.

As specified in the following article https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/create-edit-and-delete-team-managed-projects/ you need to perform the following steps :

Change your team-managed software project's icon

Project icons help give a face to your project's name. They appear in the project sidebar and in your site's list of all projects.

To change your project's icon:

* From your project's sidebar, select Project settings > Details.
* Under the current icon, select Change icon.
* Choose from a default icon or upload your own.
* Select Save details.
