Repercussions of adding Theme and Initiative to JIRA DC Environment

Hi Team,

Currently our highest level is Epic.  A client is asking to add Theme and Initiative, but I am curious to know what would happen to the current environment in regards to Epics, Stories, etc.

I am fairly new to the Jira world so explain it to me like I am a 3 year old please.

None is the really short answer.  Add them, it will not have any effect on your current system.

When people start to add your existing issues to themes and initiatives, it will start to matter - it will show in the Roadmaps, and you'll see it in the new issue types, but that's the point of adding them!
