Share a page includes users not in the confluence-users group

It seems with a recent release of Confluence the available names that show up in the auto-complete of the share functionality have greatly increased. I believe in the past the share was limited to users in the confluence-users group. Now, it seams that every user in the system is being shown as a suggestion. We use Active Directory to pull in hundreds of users but only a limited amount have access to Confluence and in the confluence-users. I'd like to suppress the auto-complete of users in the share feature to those only in the confluence-users group.

If you do a search for the users you do not want to show up in your Confluence Admin > Users section do you see them appear? My best would be is that the Filter you are using to pull in your users from LDAP is too permissive and you are syncing most of your AD. The workaround for this is to limit the number of users you are pulling into Confluence in the first place.

You will not the user and group filter section. If you write a filter specific to the set of users you want to pull into Confluence you will not be presented with so many names when you go to share a page.
