Can I identify the types of emails I want to receive from JIRA?

I would like to be able to limit emails I receive. In one case I want to limit it by issue type, I want to identify the issue type emails I do not want to receive. Also I do not want to receive log entry emails. In both cases though, I can not stop watching the project.

The sipliest way is to create filters inside your mailbox. If that doesn't work for you - please check https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.metainf.jira.plugin.emailissue plugin and set up notifications there instead of standart notification schemes
