validate group custom field equal to value

Hi,

I have a field called " Unit Assigned" - it is group Custom Field.

I want to make sure the value selected belongs to the Developers Role.

If it is not feasible, i want to make sure the group selected belongs to a list of groups that i can store somewhere.

I downloaded the Groovy plugin, but i don't know the Coding part and where to build it.

any plugin that makes it easy for me?
