Workflow Step Property -jira.issue.editable - hiding Assign Button

HI Team,

I have used workflow step property jira.issue.editable to show/hide 'Edit' functionality. 

My problem is, wherever I set the property jira.issue.editable value to False, it is also hiding 'Assign' button. 

I don't want to hide assign button and want to hide edit button in certain workflow steps.

Could you pls suggest how to achieve this?

This is one of the many quirks in Jira that most of us don't find until someone points us to it.  This subject was one of the very first questions I asked of the Community, as it was back in <mumble>

Assigning an issue is not really an "edit", even though you can do it while editing an issue.  It has its own path and its own permission.

Try adding another property - jira.permission.assign = false
