Few incoming mail server connection failed

Hi Team,

We are using Jira v8.20.21 DC. When we try to click the test connection in incoming mail server screen we received the below given exception. This exception is not throwing for all incoming mail server few mail server only throwing that error. So user facing issue when they try to change the mail server password.

Kindly anyone help me to fix this issue.

Client was updated their mail server password in their end so we need to update the password same in jira application. They can able to access the mail server throw the new password. But in jira unable to connect the mail server

"/secure/admin/VerifyPopServerConnection!update.jspa [c.a.j.p.mail.webwork.VerifyMailServer] Unable to connect to the server at imap_server_name
due to the following exception: javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed."

We just tried to click the test connection button at the time and when we try to change the password both time we are receiving same error.

Password is correct.

Hi @Peruma Chinnasamy

Error say that user used in that mail server cannot login (wrong password). Can you check that user have correct password?
