Confluence Table Filter Macro Issue

Hi,

I am using the Table Filter Macros for couple of my filters that retrieves 400-500 records. My pagination is set to 25 records per page.

I am facing the following issues:

1. The filtration is working for the current page only. Is there a way I can ensure the filter retrieves results from the entire set of records fetched and not just filters the current page?

Note: I have also tried enabling 'Filter Whole Table' option but even that is only filtering the current page.

e.g If I am filtering on the Fix Version say R7.1. Then it is fetching matching records from page 1 only. I have records with Fix Version say R7.1 in other pages but filtration displays them only if I can on that page. This does not help my cause!

2. Pagination does not seem to be working well. The next icon seems to be overlapped by the cog icon for refresh and just does not help with convenient navigation between the pages.

Any pointers will be helpful. Or is there any other macro I should be using to achieve filtration across all results retrieved across pages?

You didn't specify the type of your hosting, so I've checked the behavior both for Confluence Cloud and Server/Data Center (for the current app's version that is 8.8.2).

I don't see such behavior regarding manually created tables and the Jira Issues macro (you've mentioned the Fix Version field so I assumed that this might be the case). For me the filter searches for the required information on every page, not only the first one.

So, you may check the following:

Make sure that you use pagination inside the Table Filter macro and not inside the macro that you use as a source table. For example, if you use the Page Properties Report macro and want to use pagination, don't use it inside this macro! Show all the records by default, then go to the Table Filter macro and set pagination there.
If you are on Server/Data Center, check the app's version and update it if required.
If nothing helps, submit a support request and we'll look into the issue.

And note that the "Filter Whole Table" option is not for pagination, it just enables one filter for all the columns in your source table.

Hi @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ Thank you for the response. I do see the below text so I think we are on Server/Data Center and the version indicated below

I am using a Filter Results Macro to fetch my filter results. And then I am using a Table Filter Macro for Filtration. I am trying to follow your suggestion of using pagination only on the Table Filter Macro. However the issue is that the Number of Records field in the Filter Results Macro is mandatory. (pls see attached screenshot. We have to enter a value between 0 and 50).

So I am having to select it as 50. The number of results retrieved by my filter query is around 403.

Then I am selecting the Table Filter Macro -> Table View Tab -> Number of Rows per Page as 50. I am saving all the changes and I still see the filtration is happening on page 1 only. Please see additional screenshots attached by me - Filtration for External Issue ID field on page 1 shows only values of the first 50 records. But the filtration for the same field on page 5 shows values for that page.

My expectation is on page 1 it self the filtration for External Issue ID should display all unique values in all records retrieved. Please let me know if my expectation is right or is there anything I am missing here.

Seems that the Filter Results macro is not a standard Confluence macro and belongs to some other vendor.

Try to use the Jira Issues macro instead.
