Hello,
Can we add a user to the internal directory who was synced from AD?
Best Regards,
Salvinder
Hi @Sal , even if a user would exist in multiple directories, the first directory listed would have preference over the other.
Hi @Sal ,
Are you referring , adding same user name to multiple directories. If yes, it feasible, but it is not recommended.
If you are connecting to more than one user directory, we recommend that you ensure the usernames are unique to one directory. For example, we do not recommend that you have a user jsmith in both 'Directory1' and 'Directory2'. The reason is the potential for confusion,
jsmith

The reason i am trying this way is to add this user to confluence-administrator group which I can’t do with AD user as the group management is also done through AD.
you can add a user in all external directories, btw it will be managed/authenticated in the first directory as per directories order.
