Looking to Create a filter that sorts out common Jira issues within my firm

I want to create a jql filter that sorts Jiras that are potentially system wide or common issues within the company. Essentially, I'd like to create a filter that sorts Jiras that are "hot" or commonly viewed. Would anyone have a JQL filter that does something similar to this?

Hey @James McKenna, and welcome to the community. 

JQL is one of the best-documented features of Jira. With all functions, fields, and keywords. So depending on your definition of "hot", maybe give it a quick browse. But I'm pretty sure you will not be able to solve it with "commonly viewed". You will have to find another way to quantify it. Here's the doc: Use advanced search with Jira Query Language (JQL)
