Can we have parallel approvals in JSM?

Hi,

Is there a way to configure parallel approvals in the Jira Service Management Datacenter version?
There are approvals sequentially configured where the request goes for multiple approvals one after another(different statuses). Can it be sent to all the approvals simultaneously after creation? Here is the current flow where ITD approver is the person based on country custom field a single select, selected. BA and Internal App approver is the person based on Application name custom field a single select, selected and remaining two remains constant/ fixed approvers. Can we send the issue to all 5 approvals in one go means simultaneously?

Will it be a single status where all 5 approvers names will be populated and all should approve to move forward? Is this the way or any other way that can be suggested?

Yes we have script runner and we have used it to write a PF script for these approvals. Which populates the approver on the basis of application/country selected in respective custom field. But can we send it for approval to all these 5 approval statuses simultaneously?

Or we need to create one single status and consolidate the scripts into one single script to populate the 5 different approver names under that single status.

I believe that issue can remain at one status at a time, correct?

If this is correct then consolidating the scripts is the option, right?

Can you please guide me over this?

My recommendation would be to create a workflow based on your approval process. Yes, multiple people can receive notification and you can definitely make it a bit more dynamic based on the fields selected. Do you have ScriptRunner for Jira (since you are on data center)? A scripted workflow condition along with post function for sending mails can be created to achieve your requirements.
