jira database query

hi can you please help me in explaining the difference in created date for jiraissue,jiraaction and changegroup table in jira database, i am trying to frame the query of user who have worked on particular issue type  in given date , and his total comments on that tickets , Please help on the same thnx

jiraissue create date gets you the date when the issue was created. jiraaction gets you the dates when the comment was added/updated. changegroup table gives you the date when a field on the issue was updated.
