Forgotten password for keystore and jira linux user

Hi

Can I update the password for the 'jira' user in Linux  without impacting Jira functioning? ('jira' is the user running the Jira service)

I need to update the Jira SSL certificate but I forgot the keystore password. I was trying to create a new keystore with the 'jira' alias, but the password for it is requested, and I don't have it. I think this can be solved by updating the 'jira' user password in Linux but I don't know about its impact.

Is there a better solution that the one I'm trying?

Changing jira linux user's password will not impact its functioning.

If you are creating a new keystore, you need to enter a new password for it. After that you will create CSR for signing using that password. You can refer the steps on this link.
