JIRA 4.1.2#531 Search/filter how to find issues resolved in last seven days?

I read the comments concerning the same issue for JIRA 4.4. I tried the recommended solution (resolved > -7d). It returned all RESOLVED tasks no matter how old. Could this issue be due to an incorrect configuration?

try using (resolutiondate >= -7d)
