Need a workflow post function, which will update EPICLINK on STORY or BUG creation in project.
I have 3 different application IDs, while creating STORY or BUG, if i select Application ID1, EPICLINK1 to be updated for that STORY or BUG.

If application id 2 is selected , EPICLINK2 to be updated, similarly for Application3, EPIC LINK3 to be updated.

Hi @Kishore D

The out of the box functions are limited. So if you don't have one of the aforementioned apps it's not possible. To do it all you need a plug in. If you want to do it in post functions, ScriptRunner if you want it outside and a little more user friendly, if you don't know how to write scripts, then Automation for Jira.

Thanks for the response. I am trying to use workflow function at  "create issue" transition. There i am able to trigger action to update Epic Link. But Not able to setup condition  between Application ID and EPICKLINK.

Any suggestion on this try?

Hi @Kishore D

This isn't something that owuld be available out of the box. If you have Data Center you maybe able to do this with automation for Jira. Otherwise you would want to look at scriptrunner and you would need to script this.
