Jira Locked due to full storage volume, now redirecting to http://jiralockederror/

Hi,

We run a Jira on Linux and MySQl on the same box. The storage was full and we noticed that during re-indexing as we got the "no space error".

We cloned the volume and increased the space, however now when we start Jira it keeps going to jiralockederror.

We did removed the following after stopping Jira:

1. The lock file from the jira home directory (.jira-home.lock)
2. caches/indexes
3. jira-home/plugins/.bundled-plugins and jira-home/plugins/.osgi-plugins/
4. /work from the jira home directory

No luck, after restarting Jira the lock file comes back and we are not able to access the application. Any ideas how to fix this? Is there any thing in the database that needs changed?

The lock file is there to stop you starting another Jira against the same home directory. You should leave it alone.

As for the rest of the files, Jira will spend a bit of time rebuilding them.

What you need to do is read the log file to see what the errors are after you restart and it finishes rebuilding the stuff it needs
