Jira Server : use tempo API to get worklogs attribute

I'm using Jira Server and I need to use an API to get a worklog with the attributes (created with tempo)

When I use the Jira API, it list all I want from the worklog, except the attributes

myjirainstance/jira/rest/api/2/issue/ISSUENUM-1234/worklog

Anyone know how to get the attributes?

I try :

http://{JIRA_BASE_URL}/rest/tempo-timesheets/4/worklogs/search?epicKey=JIRA-1376

Or :

http://{JIRA_BASE_URL}/jira/rest/tempo-timesheets/4/worklogs/search?taskId=57362

(I suppose taskId is issueid)

But it give me an error 405.

I'm logged and the jira rest API works.

Do I need something in order to make it work?

Do I do something wrong?

Please note that the REST API
http://{JIRA_BASE_URL}/rest/tempo-timesheets/4/worklogs/search

can only be used as a POST call.
You will need to add a request body and the epics/ issues you want to retrieve worklogs for, need to be in an array format.

Is it still possible to access that endpoint after the Basic Auth has been discontinued? If not, is there still an alternative go fetch the worklog attributes?

For Tempo REST calls on Server/DC, only the basic authentication is required.

If you would rather use the authentication via Access token, you can use the JIRA Personal Access token to authenticate for Tempo REST calls.
Please take a look at Using Personal Access Tokens for more information.

I do have both a Tempo Token and a Jira Token. With those tokens I am currently able to access only tempo endpoints that have the base path https://api.tempo.io

The problem is that the aforementioned endpoint http://{JIRA_BASE_URL}/rest/tempo-timesheets/4/worklogs/search seems to accept only a Basic Auth. Is there a way to access it with Oauth2?

Thank you for clarifying that you are using the Cloud version of JIRA and Tempo (the question is marked for Server).

On Cloud, JIRA and Tempo data is stored in separate databases. In this case, you will need to use the Cloud REST APIs, and a Tempo access token is required for the Tempo REST calls, a JIRA access token for the JIRA REST calls.

You can then use the Tempo REST API

GET https://api.tempo.io/4/worklogs

to retrieve worklogs, including their work attributes (https://apidocs.tempo.io/#tag/Worklogs/operation/getWorklogs)

The REST API that uses the basic authentication can only be used for the Server/DC version of Tempo.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that, since we have migrated to Jira Cloud, the endpoints of the type "http://{JIRA_BASE_URL}..." do not work anymore, because they were accessible with basic auth.

Since I am authenticating now with a Tempo Token, I am only able to access the endpoints of the type "https://api.tempo.io/..."

At the moment, it's not possible to get update author with Cloud REST API. There is a similar idea on Tempo Aha! portal. Please vote on the idea to add more weight for improvement. https://ideas.tempo.io/ideas/CTS-I-34
