We have a project in Jira for tracking customer-requested changes to our product. Ideally we'd like to (miss)use Jira's voting functionality for this project, as a means for people to nominate issues that need to be re-implemented on our core product. However, voting is disabled on resolved issues.
So...
- Is there a way to enable voting on resolved issues? I realise it's unlikely given the original intention of the voting functionality, but is there a hack that can be done to enable it?
- An alternative is to use labels, although that's not much use for maintaining a count without getting really clunky
- Or would this be better implemented using a custom field of some sort?
