xRay: When creating a test execution from a test plan, the tests are not created inside it

Hello,

We're using Jira server on-premises with xRay. I created a test plan and a test execution from the test plan (in several ways). However, the test execution is always created empty and I need to re-add tests to it.

Is it a bug or some configuration issues?

There should be a setting when clicking the "create execution" button regarding which tests you want to have in the new test execution (all, only a certain test status,....)

So when you click "create execution" do you see something similar to this:

and if so: which option did you chose?

Hi All,

Please follow the following steps-

Goto settings
Create new screen or configure existing screen.
Add the field " Test association with test execution".
Make sure you have added above screen, into screen scheme and used in project. Also make sure you have added into the issue type screen scheme.

If you have followed all the above steps then I hope you can see the test cases from test plan into test execution.

But I am unable to create the linkage between test plan and test execution automatically even after getting all the linked test cases of test plan in test execution.

Is there a way to validate by script runner or automation that the Test Execution issue type is created only from the Create Test Executions button in the Test plan and not from the Create button in the Jira main menu? I am using Jira Data Center

So please post a new question describing your use case in more details l, what exactly you wanna do? why you wanna do it? maybe also screenshosts that describe the problem.
