How to manage mass users in the 2 related projects ?

Hi,

we’re having JIRA in AWS. We’ve setup two projects related to same topic. And we need to add around 200 users to the projects among 3 different roles. Currently I need to add all of them manually. But if I need to do any change one user group of 80 people to another role then it’s very challenging.

so does there any way to manage this kind of mass user list in jira project ? Like groups or azure groups etc ?

If user group remains always same.

Add all the users to a group and then manage the permissions with role

If the user in a group keeps changing then it's best to manage each user with role and get the roles assignment via API. Here are the available APIs

Hi @Pramodh M ,

There will be total 4 user groups called PMO, IT, Business and Vendor. Uses under each use group will not change their user group. The whole user group might need to change from one role to another.

so the user group chat a better in this situation here right ?

Correct!! Manage the user membership with the group.

Then use roles to manage the permissions.
